The international trade fair for medical devices and healthcare, Japan Health, has been officially recognized as a part of the Expo’s external program “Theme Week Connect” for its efforts to address global challenges. Japan Health will be held in conjunction with “Health and Well-Being Week,” one of the eight Theme Weeks of the Expo.

What is a “Theme Week”?
Theme Weeks utilize the unique opportunity of a World Expo, where countries from across the globe gather in one location over six months. These programs aim to pool global wisdom to tackle global issues, fostering dialogue and creating solutions to build a bright future for humanity. The program addresses eight distinct global challenges, one per week, through a combination of “Dialogue Programs” where participants engage in discussions and “Business Exchanges” to promote actionable solutions. Participants include official Expo participants, the Japanese government, local municipalities, co-creation businesses, and exhibiting companies, among others.

During the “Health and Well-Being Week”, various health-related events are planned at the Expo site. Notably, “HEALTH DESIGN,” hosted by Informa Markets Japan Co., Ltd., will showcase Japan’s wellness and healthcare innovations in an experiential format. Additionally, the “FUTURE HEALTH SUMMIT,” a VIP invitation-only summit, will spotlight the future of healthcare. These three events are expected to create synergistic effects as visitors move between the Expo venue and external locations.
